We live in a world filled with fast-paced demanding jobs, constant notifications on our phones, an abundance of foods that challenge our waistlines, and other chronic physical and mental health issues. Paying attention to the news may have you convinced the world is falling apart!

At the same time, this world is also filled with more opportunity than ever before: more opportunity for connectedness, abundant information to help you heal and solve any issue, and there’s never been more spiritually awakened beings on the planet.

It’s a “choose your own adventure” time in history where we have the power to cultivate the life we truly desire.

Designing your Lifestyle with Intention

We have many choices and distractions in our modern world

When you realize the amount of opportunity that exists today, and all the choices, it highlights the need for focus. There are too many distractions.

Given the nature of this “choose your own adventure” reality, we can guide our paths intentionally by designing our lifestyle to support our goals. The more focused we are, the faster we’ll get there.

Life is just too difficult otherwise! The mainstream culture is filled with so many options, so many different paths, so many levels of learning… If you let the mainstream culture influence your lifestyle, you’ll get a similar chaotic result.

This is living life in default mode.

The solution to living in our chaotic world of many options is to choose a path, and completely immerse yourself in that world. Actively create a lifestyle that matches this choice.

What is Conscious Lifestyle Design?

Consciously choosing and curating your lifestyle is the key to establishing yourself on your desired life track. Lifestyle includes your habits, your personal connections, and how you curate your environment.

Your lifestyle should reinforce habits, which in turn reinforce the actions that will support what you wish to see in your life. You have to intentionally plan and work towards these habits and actions.

When you plan and intend for your lifestyle (habits, connections, environment) to look a certain way, and exclude the rest, you are designing your lifestyle to support and expedite your growth, rather than living by default, which can spin you in circles.

Seeing examples from others (like in this blog) can help you consciously design your own lifestyle.
